Procurement of Local Grown Crops
For many years, we have been purchasing locally grown corn, peanuts, black sesame seeds, and quinoa to produce sesame oil and pet food. Sourcing locally helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions associated with transportation from abroad.
In 2023, we procured 7,316,070 kg of locally grown dent corn, 9,000 kg of contracted local peanuts, and 4,000 kg of local quinoa. As a result of actively promoting and supporting local agriculture, we have consistently received commendations and awards from the National Animal Industry Foundation.
