Procurement of RSPO Certi¬ed Sustainable Palm Oil
We are an active member of Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil, RSPO, to support and promote the growth and use of sustainable palm oil. We are also committed to cooperate with the supply chain to promote the production, procurement and use of sustainable palm oil products.
In 2022, total purchased RSPO certified palm oil to be 399,334 kg which was an increase of 298,020 kg, an increase of 298%.

Purchase of FSC Cardboard Boxes
FSC forest certification is a market mechanism that the Forest Stewardship Council, FSC, uses to promote responsible and sustainable forest management of the global forests. FSC wood products (including papers) are all forest-friendly products.
In 2022, we purchased a total of 141,890 FSC cardboard boxes of which 136,890 counts were certified food-use cardboard boxes, accounting for 25% of the total usage of food-use cardboard boxes of 547,379 counts, an increase of 8% compared to 2021.

SSAP Soybean Procurement
According to the SSAP certification, soybean farmers continue to raise the performance in sustainable development, a practice to mitigate soil erosion, increase energy efficiency, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the promotion of the development of sustainable farming.
In 2022, we purchased 73,327 tons of SSAP certified soybean, which was 22.46% of the total soybean purchased, 326,392 tons, for the year.

In 2022, we purchased 1,680 tons of sustainable, non-genetically modified soybean from the Canadian Hensall's contract sustainable soybean farmers for the domestic food processing companies, an increase of 12.75% from the purchase of 1,490 tons in 2021.
 
 
Procurement of Local Grown Crops
For many years now, we have purchased local-grown corn, black sesame seeds, peanuts and quinoa to produce sesame oil and pet food. Besides fulfilling the food self-sufficiency policy, local source procurement also reduces greenhouse gas emissions.
In 2022, we purchased 12,253,870 kg of locally grown dent corn, 60,200 kg of contracted local-grown peanuts, and 4,000 kg of local-grown quinoa. As a result of proactively marketing and supporting the local farm business, we received awards and recognitions from Council of Agriculture and National Animal Industry Foundation, numerous times.
