As of the laboratory operations, we continue to satisfy the certification specifications to maintain the TAF accreditation via adhering to the stringent policy to implement inspections to ensure food products hygiene and safety.
We even adopted Laboratory Information Management System, LIMS, to effectively manage samples and associated data which allows us to automate workflows, minimize manual data entry errors, and integrate instruments to control and improve lab productivity.
At the same time, we are actively integrating and updating the enterprise resource planning system, ERP, with the LIMS system to facilitate the smooth communication of data, enabling faster access to information on raw materials, production, and inspection results, shortening waiting time, and improving all aspects of testing results and inventory management.
In response to the inspection regulations or method updates, "Inspection Method for Pesticide Residues in Food-Multi-Residue Analysis Method (V)" is closely related to our company operations. We have completed the MSMS mass spectrometryrelated inspection development and the purchase of new standard samples; we expect to launch in January 2023 to meet the requirement of testing the 410 items of pesticide residue inspection.

To maintain the functionality of ISO/IEC 17025, we emphasize in chemical safety and management.
In 2022, we had our employee to attend training classes
- "Laboratory Accreditation Standard ISO/IEC 17025" including proficiency testing, and interlaboratory comparisons.
- "Measurement and Calibration Management" and "Measurement Uncertainty Seminar",
- Hazardous Operations, Chemical Classification and Hazardous Chemical Management.
To ensure the effectiveness and accuracy of our tests, we conduct instrument and gauge calibration every year.
In 2022, there were 44 external calibration completed. 53 internal calibrations were performed by the qualified personnel.
The results of external and internal calibrations all met the requirements
We also use proficiency testing to enhance and ensure the skills of our testing personnel.
In 2022, we participated in the international FAPAS proficiency tests for peroxide value, acid value, and iodine value, and also in proficiency tests for coliform group, E. coli, Staphlococcus aureus, and Salmonella (qualitative) held by the Food Industry Research and Development Institute. The results of these two proficiency tests were all satisfactory.
Additionally, to improve the capability of our technicians, we performed internal monthly comparison tests and participated in the peer laboratories, TAF certified laboratories, and the international comparison testing events.
Moreover, we have applied to TAF to increase our testing capacity to include moisture content and have completed the FAPAS proficiency test for moisture content with a "satisfactory" result.

The quality assurance technicians are certified technicians for food inspection & analysis. They regularly attend external training courses and participate in proficiency testing to evaluate their laboratory testing capabilities. In 2022, they participated in the "CAS Laboratory Inspection Capability Enhancement" technical training course and "Strengthening CAS Meat Marketing, Verification Management, and Tracking Inspection Commissioning Plan" organized by National Animal Industry Foundation, NAIF. The blind test results were satisfactory.

- Fwusow Industry
In 2022, 14,334 batches ran through the raw material analysis with 18 of them failed to comply with the standard that's a 99.87% passing rate. Also, 44,686 batches of the semi-finished product and final product completed the analysis, with 8 of them failed to comply with the standard that's a 99.98% passing rate.
In 2022, analysis performed at the external laboratory: total of 1,517 samples were sent for analysis, which included 960 vegetable oil samples, 557 grain samples, and 9 of the samples failed to comply with the standard; thus, a 99.41% passing rate.
- Charming Food
In 2022, to ensure compliance, every raw material, fresh meat, and processed products, Charming Food increases the analysis testing to 31 items. 7,262 batches of samples were tested. The laboratory and the quality control related expenses totaled to be NT$5,222,628, which was equivalent to 0.3% of the company product gross income.
